Meet the Cast: Wren (Spoilers)
Wren’s been waiting for years to be assigned an epic so she can FINALLY finish her bardic degree and get out into the world. For whatever reason—a fluke, a coincidence, serendipity, destiny, someone else’s pure hateful spite—she is assigned to this party. As an “embedded reporter,” Wren will follow the party, undetected, record their (mis)adventures for posterity and historical accuracy, and eventually write an epic song that will make the adventurers real heroes and make Wren a real bard. • Help us create subtitles in your language.
  • Become a financial contributor.

  • Copy and Paste This Widget Code

  • Buy our DVD. We have all sorts of extras on it. And because we’re self-distributing, you know that your dollars actually go directly to keeping the show alive.

  1. Im telling my freinds about Journey quest. I want this to be something Epic. It came out on my birthday. I should do a senior project on this. I freaking love you guys <3 have my babies some day

  2. I’m in for $10! And that was only after an episode and a half. When you’re funnier than the funniest existing media in your genre (which, admittedly, you guys did), then that deserves accolades.

Onward! To victory for all brilliant web series!

  3. I could help in translating the dialogues for you to put the subtitles in latin spanish.

    1. Just take a look at http://www.journey-quest.com/support/subtitles/ and the Google spreadsheet linked there. You can create your own latin spanish column and start right away :D

  4. I can’t say I am your biggest fan though I want to be, and Im no one special in particular to anyone alive, dead, or in between. I will say that I am if not your biggest fan than the most appriciative.
On a personal note I love your work and could only dream of becoming part of what you’ve amounted to.
I’ve got the talent to do the work and would

  5. I have been advertising to all my friends, co-workers, family, and on the champions online mmorpg. Everyone has been giving rave reviews. I have never found anything that you all have made that I have not loved. Keep up the good work ya’ll.

    1. Will do! Thanks for the help!

  6. I did some viral marketing on your behalf (and of course posted in on the social networks, but that’s not as important). Raised quite a bit of views in a couple of days. I will translated the subs to Serbian/Croatian/Bosnian

    1. Awesome, thank you!

  7. thermian? is anyone working on thermian subs already?

  8. On behalf of the Geek Culture Group of Connecticut (of which I am a member), I’ll do whatever I can to help spread the word. Be it money or publicity, I’ll give it a go. This kind of thing should be right up our alley, plus I know for a fact we have a lot of contacts. Good luck guys.

    1. Jake – Thank you! The biggest help right now is just with increasing our audience. We don’t have an advertising budget, so it’s up to word of mouth.

  9. AWESOME … what more is there to say, everything about it is just fun fun fun, excellent acting/characters/cinematography. I have a small group of geeks I will definitely share this with … for sure they will get a kick out of it (the Detroit GLG). I will push it wherever I can! I know a few closeted geeks at work (WOW players and the like – one actually asked me NOT to mention he played WOW) There’s a local SciFi Con in January too, I will ask one of my geekmates to make some posters and I would gladly put them up there, one guy is a graphic artist and I have access to a super plotter at work … you guys got some prints/posters for it? OH, by the way, I ran into the webisodes as mentioned on Boing Boing, so kudos to them for listing it. Maybe I can take my Touchsmart to the Con to screen it too … AND I will try to contribute some dough too … thing is, my PC is an internet whore (porn?), = crawling with viruses and worms … I only get out the plastic at work since its locked down tighter then a nun’s um … habit – however your site is blocked by those Nazis I work for, damn germans anyways. Still, I will find a way!

  10. I absolutely love this series! I plan on buying the DVD when it’s available. My real reason for posting is to ask if you are interested in the two ringtones that I made from the credits music. They are both in mp3 and iPhone format. It might be something you want to put on your website. Please let me know if you want them.

Thank you for your time and hard work on a great concept.

    1. That sounds great! Just let us know the best way to make them available—we haven’t played with custom ringtones before.

      1. I can email the sound files to you along with directions for how to add them to iPhones, the mp3 versions for other phones vary somewhat, but general directions should suffice. If you prefer other some other method of transferring them, just let me know.

        Thanks again,
        Bryan

  11. Your series rock! seriously, it cracks me up! I’m trying to make everyone watch it!
By the way, I see you’re looking for translators in different languages! Unfortunately, I only speak two, but I could help you, translate it into spanish, if you don’t have someone doing that yet.

    1. Spanish would be great! Just check on our spreadsheet, linked via the Subtitles page.

  12. Do you guys have any merchandise with some favorite quotes from the show? I would totally buy my husband boxers that say meat henge,

    1. Some other merchandise ideas are: Dice-bags with the quote: “Let’s go save our Wizard again” Or a shirt with a quill pen and journal on it and the words “I’m so going to make her fat!!”

      1. Hi Clax,

I just signed up with JQ to make some merchandise, and I would love to hear more of your ideas! Please email me at epicjqdice@stainedsteelinc.com when you get a chance!

        Thanks so much!

        1. Ok, I want to know where I can get the dice bag!
Clax, are you going to have different… I guess prototypes and post them so we can give you feedback? I’m interested in seeing what you have in mind!

  13. I meant to throw this up here early but the holiday frenzy just got in the way. Here’s some sound bites as MP3′s from JourneyQuest. Use them on your cell phone or whatever. If you like them then just show a little love for the Zombie Orpheus crew.

  14. I a a graphic designer and have been wanting to start a comic but I do not have the writers touch. I would like to illustrate a comic of this web searies, ans would like to work with you a little to get a comic that will last some time. I may even be able to use some contacts to get the first book printed for a discount. If you are interested in this send me a measage and I would be more than happy to draw up a few pages to show you my style and see if your interested.

    1. We sent you an email. Thanks!

  15. Hi! I love JQ, and would love to produce and market merchandise (such as a board game, custom dice, tshirts/hats/etc.) with JQ on them! I already have at least one local game shop that wants to carry the merchandise, and everyone I talk to is excited about it! I made my own t-shirt, and everyone asks me where they can get theirs! Please send me an email, so we can talk about it! Your support page says “contact you,” for commercial endeavors, but I can’t find an email address to send a request for permission to!

I love JQ, and can’t wait to hear from you!

    Thanks very much!

    1. We just emailed you, thanks!

      1. If the special made dice get the go ahead I’m first in line, I need to buy some and I want them to be EPIC!!

        1. Tami,

We are currently designing the custom dice set. We would love your input as to what would be EPIC, because we want them to be EPIC too! Please email us at epicjqdice@stainedsteelinc.com and we can discuss your ideas!

          Thanks!

  16. Love the show, want more, will contribute soon.

My wife makes these: http://www.etsy.com/shop/Crystalsidyll?section_id=6132040 (among other fantasy-related costuming bits) and I’m sure I could talk her into donating some if you want to use them.

    Thanks!

    1. Awesome! We’re a big fan of her work — a friend just recently showed us a custom gauntlet that she made for him!

  17. I’m the maker of the dragonhide gauntlets, I’d love to donate a pair or two. If you’re interested you can reach me at the email above or on etsy to work out size and color. Ben says your work is hilarious, I’m off to watch the first episode now.

    1. Thanks, Crystal! We’d absolutely love to feature your work!

  18. Argh. Sorry for the reply to my own post, but — well, I’m a bit keen, you see. How does ‘ye Oath of Giftiness’ grab you, as an idea? http://pendantry.wordpress.com/2011/05/29/ye-oath-of-giftiness/ (and if anyone can improve upon my cobbled-together-this-morning attempt at a blank, please do!).

    Best wishes,
    Colin

  19. I would like to help translate the dialog for subtitles for you guys, that is if you think you’d like to have subtitles in Icelandic. I noticed you had subtitles in Danish and Swedish, so if you’d like to get more of the Nordic countries on board I would be very happy to help with that.

    1. That would be great! You can click through to the subtitles spreadsheet from our subtitles page and get started any time you like. Just ping us when it’s done so we can upload them to YouTube!

  20. Hey there!
My boyfriend and I are huge fans of your work, and we show Gamers 2: Dorkness Rising and Journey Quest to our friends, family, and anyone we think would enjoy them!

Seeing as people offer their services to help you out, I would also like to extend any help I can to you! I am a recent graduate from college with a heavy influence in making props. If there’s anything I can do to help, please let me know! I would be more than happy to help craft anything you need! I also crochet dice bags, and would be honored if you wished to take a gander at some pictures of my projects. :D
Thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule to read my comments!
And as always, keep up the great work!

    -Tori

  21. Just a thought – where’s the link on this ‘contribute’ page where I can click to *pre-order* Season 2? Shouldn’t there be such a link?

  22. I LOVE your videos, and I definitely look forward to more. We play D&D, and the theme we chose for this year’s Halloween party is D&D–duh! Dorkness Rising will definitely be viewed that night. :)

The nerd in me has been craving movies based on roleplaying since I first became introduced in 2004, and you’ve been hitting the spot. Thank you!

  23. I just finished watching the DVD and man it’s funny! Flippin Awesome! I am disappointed that you don’t have a donation link up right now, I totally wanted to contribute!

      1. <panto>Oh, no he can’t!*</panto>

*Kickstarter over, man, Kickstarter over. What are we going to do now, build a campfire, sing a couple of songs?

  24. This serie is now on http://www.OXOL.tv

JourneyQuest has just been added!! Yeah!
